What quality diamonds should I use for earrings?

Generally, I suggest a little lower quality for earrings, because they are less visible, have less meaning, and are usually smaller. So consider those differences as you decide. One starting point for earrings might be at I Color Grade, SI2 Clarity Grade, Good Cut Grade.

Besides that, you should ask yourself and answer the same questions as you would for larger diamonds, as in my guidelines for How to Decide the Four C’s in a Flash.
