I generally do not talk about the stores that do not pass, for many reasons.

For one, this approach is simpler, and avoids legal clashes with stores that do not appreciate me researching their reputations, practices, credit ratings, trade memberships, etc. Instead, I will tell you all about the stores that DO pass, and WHY, including all the areas we test them for and the test results for each area. That way, you get the info you want, and I get my need for safety.

For another, so far I have tested over 10,000 stores across the U.S., and I am still only half way done. And I do this all myself. So I do not have a lot of time to test stores for each person that writes in. It is much faster to test them all at once in a city.

If this is a service you want me to provide, let me know, and I will think about testing stores for a fee from consumers.

It has been a long and frustrating process, but rewarding as well. If you are reading this because I did not have a local jeweler to recommend for your area, read this article too :: Why is there no jeweler in my area?

If you have visited a jeweler and like them, then my suggestion is to compare them with a jeweler that passed my tests, and decide for yourself. Here is a link to the signup page for the test reports on the local jewelers that passed my tests.

Then you visit both stores, and buy from the one you like the most. Just be sure you look fairly at integrity, after-sale service, guarantees, real testimonials from previous customers, etc. If you find someone you like as much as the stores I recommend, then TELL ME, and I will make sure I test them in the next round, when I visit that area again in the future.
